The SPCA serving Allegany County is dedicated to attending to the needs of the abandoned, neglected, and abused companion animals in our community. We believe in providing essential care and compassion to every furry friend who walks through our doors.
Change is a constant part of life at our shelter, where we see animals arrive in need of help and depart for their forever homes. Our commitment to animal welfare is bolstered by our community-focused initiatives, including our Snip and Spay Clinic, which was established in 2015 with the support of an ASPCA grant and generous matching donors. To date, we have proudly provided over 9,000 spay and neuter surgeries to help control the local animal population.
We are a 501c3 charitable organization serving all of Allegany County, New York, with a shelter that is open seven days a week. From our permanent facility, we manage daily care for our residents, run our low-cost spay/neuter clinic, and facilitate seasonal Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) services for community and barn cats.
Adopting an animal from the SPCA is a truly life-changing event for both you and your new companion. We require an approved adoption application to ensure every animal finds the perfect match for their unique personality and needs. We invite you to view our adoptable animals, learn about our upcoming events, or consider supporting our mission through donations, which directly fund the daily care and medical needs of our shelter residents.
Whether you are looking to adopt, volunteer, or donate, we would love to hear from you. You can reach us at our Belmont, NY location, submit your application via email at SPCAallegany@gmail.com, or visit us during our open hours to meet our wonderful animals. We thank you for being a part of our compassionate community.
