At the Islip Animal Shelter and Adopt-a-Pet Center, our mission is to provide a safe, compassionate bridge for animals in need as they await their forever families. We are dedicated to ensuring that every stray or abandoned pet receives the care and attention they deserve while they transition into a loving new home.
Serving the local community, our facility functions as a dedicated shelter and temporary home for pets awaiting adoption. We believe that by maintaining a supportive environment, we can help our animal residents thrive and prepare them for the joyful lives they have ahead.
Our operation is rooted in daily, hands-on care for a diverse group of animals, ranging from playful kittens to adult companions. Whether we are managing daily welfare tasks or coordinating with the public to provide essential supplies, our staff is committed to the health and well-being of every resident in our care.
Adoption is a wonderful journey that starts with finding the right match for your unique lifestyle and household. We invite you to experience the rewarding process of meeting our adoptable pets and discovering the special bond that comes with giving a deserving animal a second chance at happiness.
We welcome you to visit our facility at 200 South Technology Drive in Central Islip, NY, to meet our wonderful animals in person. Our viewing hours for potential adopters are 10:00 am to 12:00 noon and 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm daily. You can also connect with us online or view our current wishlist to see how you can support our mission.
