Our Mission
At the Fulton County Regional SPCA, we engage the hearts, hands, and minds of our community to provide immediate care for homeless and abused animals. Our goal is to unite every animal with their perfect owner or find them a safe, loving forever home.
Our History
Founded as the Regional Animal Shelter in 2002, we have grown into a 100% volunteer-run organization dedicated to animal welfare. In 2019, we officially reincorporated as an SPCA to better serve the needs of our community, recently moving to our new facility at 356 S Kingsboro Ave in Gloversville to expand our life-saving reach.
Our Care Model
We are a small, dedicated shelter with a big heart, operating entirely through the efforts of our volunteer team. Because we focus on the animals in our own backyard, we do not import pets from out of state. We provide a space of love and healing while our dogs wait for their families, and our foster network allows us to provide specialized care for animals who need a home environment to thrive.

Because we want every adoption to be successful, our process includes a pre-screening form followed by a scheduled meet-and-greet to help you find your new best friend.
