Fulton County Regional SPCA is dedicated to engaging the hearts, hands, and minds of our community to help animals in need. We provide immediate care for homeless or abused animals, working tirelessly to reunite them with their families or find them new, loving homes.
Originally founded as the Regional Animal Shelter in 2002, we reincorporated as an SPCA in 2019 to better serve our community and address cases of animal cruelty. As a private, 100% volunteer-run and donation-funded nonprofit, we operate with a deep commitment to our neighbors and their pets. We recently moved to our new facility at 356 S Kingsboro Ave in Gloversville, where we are expanding our life-saving services.
Our shelter is a place of love and healing, staffed by a dedicated family of volunteers. While we provide a physical space for dogs, many of our cats are cared for in a network of foster homes until they find their forever families. Beyond shelter, we support our community through programs like our pet food pantry, our R.A.S.E. youth initiative, and our Safe Haven program for pets of domestic violence survivors.
We believe every animal deserves a loving family, and we take great care to ensure the best possible match for both the pet and the adopter. Because we prioritize the welfare of our animals, our adoption process includes a thoughtful pre-screening and a scheduled meet-and-greet to help you form a lasting, joyful bond. Whether you are looking for a playful pup or a sweet cat, we are here to guide you through this rewarding journey.
There is no love like the love of a shelter pet, and your new best friend cannot wait to meet you. We invite you to explore our adoptable animals online or learn more about how you can volunteer or foster to make a difference. Together, we are creating a brighter, kinder future for the animals in our backyard.
