Our Mission
Buffalo C.A.R.E.S. Animal Rescue is an all-breed, volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to facilitating the placement of homeless animals into loving, permanent homes. We are committed to saving the lives of animals who have been abused, neglected, or forgotten.
Our History
Our organization was founded by a group of people who came together in honor of their own beloved pets to make a meaningful difference for others. We proudly carry the names of these inspirations, Evan and Snoopy, within our C.A.R.E.S. acronym: Companion Animal Rescue for Evan & Snoopy.
How We Operate
We are a foster-based rescue in the Western New York area, meaning our animals are cared for in private homes rather than a facility. These safe foster environments provide the necessary veterinary care, training, and socialization required to help every animal grow into a well-balanced family companion.
The Adopter Connection
We believe every adoption is the beginning of a beautiful partnership, which is why we utilize a careful, screened adoption process to find the most compatible homes for our animals. By taking the time to understand both the needs of our rescues and the lifestyle of our adopters, we ensure the best possible match for long-term success.
