Our Mission
Long Road Home Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to finding forever homes for dogs who have been overlooked and have lost hope. We strive to provide every animal with a path to a happily ever after, one pawprint at a time.
Who We Are
Founded in 2011, our rescue team is a small, compassionate family committed to saving lives. We focus on helping dogs in need by pulling them from southern shelters, assisting with owner surrenders, and rescuing strays that have nowhere else to go.
Our Care Model
We operate as a dedicated foster-based rescue, ensuring that each dog in our care receives the attention, medical support, and love they deserve before heading to their permanent home. Our team manages every detail of the transition, from life-saving medical care to ensuring our dogs are prepared for life with a new family.

9/29 - 🐾 Meet Patty! 🖤🤎 Look at that smile! Patty is a 1–2-year-old, 52-pound Rottie/Hound mix with a happy-go-lucky personality and a whole lot of love to give. Patty sadly ended up in the shelter when her family could no longer afford to care for her, but she hasn’t let that change her sweet spirit. She’s confident, affectionate, playful and incredibly friendly. She loves people of all ages, including kids, and gets along great with other dogs. She’s the perfect medium-to-low-energy companion. Patty loves running and playing in the backyard, exploring and having some fun, but she’s just as happy settling down afterward for snuggles and kisses. And if you happen to have a treat? You’ve probably made a best friend for life. ❤️ Patty is house-trained AND crate-trained, walks nicely on a leash, and is wonderfully quiet—she’s not a big barker. She’s loyal, curious and ready to become someone’s devoted companion. This girl has so much going for her. 9/29 - 🐾 Meet Annie Oakley! 🤎 Annie Oakley is a 1-year-old Lab/Hound mix with the sweetest personality and a face you won’t forget! Fully grown at 62 pounds, this gorgeous girl has a beautiful white coat, a fluffy tail, and the cutest brown patch over one side of her face. Annie is currently thriving in a foster home in Westchester, where she’s showing everyone what a wonderful family dog she is. She loves other dogs and has a blast romping, chasing, and playing with her neighborhood pup friends. After she’s had her fun, she’s perfectly happy to settle down inside for some serious beauty sleep. She’s friendly, affectionate, social with people, and enjoys nice long walks. Annie would absolutely love having a canine sibling, but she’d also be happy as the center of attention with an active family of her own. A fenced yard would be a bonus, but it isn’t essential as long as she gets plenty of walks, playtime, and adventures. Best of all, Annie is spayed, vaccinated, house-trained AND crate-trained. 9/27 - ☀️ DOUGIE IS PURE SUNSHINE! ☀️ Dougie is truly one of our BEST dogs! This handsome boy is about 1–2 years old, a great size, and has the most beautiful blue eye. 💙 And wait until you see how he asks for a walk… 🥹 When Dougie is ready to go, he picks up his leash in his mouth and carries it! 9/26 - 🐾 MEET ATHENA! 🐾 Athena is an all-around wonderful girl who would fit beautifully into so many families! She’s a little over 1 year old, a Border Collie/Lab mix, and a great medium size. Athena is super smart, affectionate, and well behaved with an excellent temperament. 9/25 - 🐾 Meet Logan! 🐾 Logan is a very sweet, lovable boy with such a wonderful personality. He absolutely loves belly rubs, kisses, and being with his people. ❤️ He’s playful with a nice medium puppy energy—happy to have fun without being over-the-top. Logan is smart, eager to learn, and already house-trained and crate-trained. He’s great with kids and other dogs and would make an amazing family companion. 9/24 - 🐾 Meet Amory — she’s a total 10! 🐾 Amory is an amazing 7–8 month old Shepherd pup weighing about 50 pounds. This girl truly has everything to offer! ❤️ She’s smart, obedient, playful, sweet and only medium energy. She’d love a home with a yard where she can play, then settle in with her people. Amory has a fantastic personality and wonderful temperament and is great with other dogs and children. She can play a little rough with cats, so a confident, dog-savvy cat would be best. 9/24 - 🐾 Meet Artie! 🐾 Artie is a very special, sweet and gentle boy at only about 30 pounds. ❤️ He’s good with dogs, cats AND kids and is truly a joy to have around. 9/21 - 🐾 Tasha is stopping by to say hi! 🐾 This gorgeous girl is truly the best. Tasha is smart, incredibly affectionate, and wonderful with other dogs.
