Our Mission
Tender Loving Cats, Inc. is a no-kill, all-volunteer 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to saving the lives of cats and kittens on Long Island. We exist to rescue the mistreated, save the injured, and love the abandoned.
Our Story
Established in 2017, our organization was founded to meet the critical need for a sustainable way to manage the community cat population. We work tirelessly to reduce homelessness through compassionate Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) initiatives and by rehabilitating cats and kittens for their forever homes.
How We Help
We are a foster-based rescue, meaning our cats are nurtured in loving homes until they are ready for adoption. This, alongside our dedicated PetSmart Adoption Centers in North and West Babylon, allows us to provide a high standard of medical care and socialization to every cat in our program.
Your Role in Our Family
We believe that adopting a pet is a partnership built on care and compatibility. Our team takes pride in getting to know each animal's personality, ensuring we place them in homes where they can thrive, whether your household is quiet, busy, or full of life. We are committed to transparency in our adoption process, which includes thorough veterinary care like spaying or neutering, vaccinations, and microchipping before you bring your new friend home.

10/10 - Meet Blossom! Born May, 2025 Blossom is a beautiful young black-and-white mama cat with stunning, expressive eyes and an even more beautiful heart. She has been an incredibly devoted mother, always rushing to her kittens the moment she hears even the tiniest peep. Her gentle, nurturing nature shines through in everything she does. While she can be a little shy when meeting new people, Blossom blossoms into a loving, affectionate companion once she feels safe and comfortable. This sweet girl deserves a forever home where she can finally be the one receiving all the love and care she has so freely given. She enjoys a peaceful environment where she can nap on a cozy bed, perch atop a cat tree, or watch birds and nature from a sunny window. Blossom is easy to pick up and hold, loves gentle attention, and has a calm, easygoing personality that makes her a wonderful companion. Beautiful inside and out, she’s ready to leave motherhood behind and begin the happy, cherished life she truly deserves!
