Lend-a-Paw Inc.
Our Mission
Lend-a-Paw Inc. is dedicated to providing a second chance to vulnerable animals while supporting our community through compassionate rescue and education. We work tirelessly to ensure every dog and cat receives the care they need to flourish in a loving home.
Our Story
Born in August 2020 during the height of the pandemic, our rescue began in a garage to address the urgent needs of an increasing outdoor cat population. By November 2021, we successfully expanded to our first facility in Oceanside, NY, allowing us to broaden our mission to include dogs in need. To date, we have rescued hundreds of animals, each one representing a life transformed by our dedicated team of volunteers and supporters.
How We Help
As a volunteer-run, non-profit organization receiving no state or federal funding, we rely entirely on the generosity of our community. We rescue dogs and cats from high-kill shelters, providing essential medical care, training resources, and a safe, stable environment. Beyond rescue, we provide critical support to pet owners, offering resources to help them keep their beloved animals and prevent the need for surrender.
The Adopter Connection
Adoption is a joyful, lifelong partnership, and we are committed to finding the perfect match for both our animals and your lifestyle. Our team invests deep care into every rescue, and we look forward to guiding you through our thoughtful process to ensure a successful transition. By working together, we ensure that every pet finds the safe, loving, and forever home they deserve.
