Oswego County Humane Society Inc.
Our Mission
The Oswego County Humane Society is a dedicated animal welfare organization committed to providing essential programs and services that support both people and their pets throughout our community. We believe in strengthening the bond between humans and animals through compassionate care, advocacy, and shared resources.
Why We Are Here
For over 26 years, we have served as a pillar for animal welfare in Oswego County. We recognize that responsible pet ownership is the heart of a healthy community, and we strive to provide the guidance, education, and support necessary to ensure every animal leads a safe, happy life.
How We Care
We operate as a community-focused resource, utilizing a robust foster network to provide loving, temporary homes for animals in need. While our team is currently working hard to finalize a state-of-the-art animal welfare facility on Mitchell Street to better serve our county, we continue to rely on the generosity of volunteers who open their homes to pets awaiting their forever families.
The Adoption Partnership
Choosing to adopt is a beautiful, life-changing decision for both the animal and your family. We are here to help you navigate this transition, offering transparent information and support to ensure a joyful, lasting partnership between you and your new companion. Our team is always ready to talk through your options and discuss the best match for your unique lifestyle.
