New 2 U Rescue is a volunteer-run, non-profit dog rescue dedicated to providing a safe, loving path to forever homes for dogs in need. We are committed to finding the perfect match between every animal in our care and their new family, ensuring a lifetime of happiness for both.
Founded to support dogs who are homeless, at risk of euthanasia in public shelters, or surrendered due to difficult owner circumstances, we strive to make a tangible difference in our community. We also specialize in providing specialized care for pregnant mother dogs and rescuing retired puppy mill dogs who deserve a life of comfort and safety.
We are a foster-based rescue operating throughout the greater Rochester, NY area, meaning our dogs live in loving volunteer homes rather than a facility. This unique approach allows us to provide personalized attention, training, and necessary veterinary care in a real home environment, ensuring every dog is prepared for their transition to a permanent family.
We believe in quality over quantity, which is why we invest time into vetting, reference checks, and home visits to create successful, lasting matches. Our process is designed with the dog’s best interest at heart, focusing on the individual personality and needs of each animal to ensure a truly forever bond.
