Cast Aside To Survive Inc
Our Mission
Cast Aside To Survive, Inc. is dedicated to ending the cycle of street cat reproduction while providing a safe, loving path to forever homes for viable kittens. We strive to improve feline health and welfare through compassionate intervention, one cat at a time.
A Legacy of Compassion
Our journey began with our founder, Kim Kelly, who rescued a two-day-old kitten named Baby Kitty during her senior year of high school. Inspired by that experience and the need to protect abandoned, neglected, and voiceless animals, Kim founded our 501(c)3 organization in 2018. Today, we continue that legacy by advocating for better resources and protection for all critters.
How We Help
As a nonprofit organization, we operate through a dedicated network of volunteers who provide essential care. Our approach prioritizes Trap/Neuter/Vaccinate/Return (TNVR) to prevent unnecessary suffering in feral populations, alongside a robust foster program where viable kittens and pregnant cats receive the socialization they need. We are proud to be a rated Great Nonprofit, functioning entirely on the generosity of our supporters, grant funding, and community recycling efforts.
Your Role in Our Family
Adoption is the joyful heart of our work, turning abandoned kittens into cherished family members. By placing cats into approved foster homes, we ensure that every animal we rescue is healthy, socialized, and ready to thrive in their new environment. We believe that every adoption is a partnership that creates a brighter, more compassionate world for everyone involved.
