Homeward Bound Dog Rescue of NY
Our Mission
Homeward Bound Dog Rescue of New York, LLC. is a dedicated volunteer organization committed to promoting lifelong happiness for our dogs and their adoptive families. We strive to provide every rescued dog with a loving transition into a permanent, forever home.
Why We Are Here
We believe in the power of second chances for dogs rescued from shelters, surrender situations, and puppy mills. By working together as a community, our all-volunteer team provides a compassionate bridge for dogs in need as they move toward the bright, secure future they deserve.
How We Provide Care
We are a foster-based rescue, meaning we do not operate a shelter facility. Instead, our dogs live right in our own homes, eating, sleeping, and playing alongside us, which allows us to learn their individual personalities, strengths, and needs. This home-centered approach ensures that each dog is well-adjusted and provides us with the insights needed to make the perfect match for your family.
Building Lifelong Partnerships
Our adoption process is designed to ensure a successful, lasting bond between you and your new companion. Because we take the time to deeply understand each dog in our care, we can guide you toward a pet whose temperament and lifestyle fit yours perfectly. Every placement is a joyful milestone in our mission to create forever families.
