Keller's Kats Rescue, Inc.

Our Mission

Keller's Kats Rescue, Inc. is a volunteer-run organization dedicated to saving lives and promoting the adoption of animals in jeopardy of euthanasia. We strive to provide support and education to our community, ensuring every animal receives the second chance they truly deserve.

Our Story

Formed in October 2014, our rescue was built by a dedicated group of individuals united by a passion for animal welfare. Operating in and around Rochester, NY, we work tirelessly to find suitable, permanent homes for abandoned, lost, and surrendered animals, giving them a safe bridge to their future families.

Our Unique Approach

As a 501(c)(3) no-kill organization, we operate as a foster-based rescue rather than maintaining a traditional shelter facility. This network of foster homes provides our animals with essential sanctuary, love, and care in a home environment while they wait for their forever families. We also offer the Keller's Klubhouse, a special cage-free environment where you can meet our adoptable cats in a relaxed, comfortable setting.

The Adopter Connection

We believe that adoption is a joyful, life-changing partnership. Because we provide comprehensive medical care and attention to every animal in our program, our goal is to match you with a companion who fits your lifestyle and needs. Through our dedicated volunteers and adoption counselors, we ensure every placement is a thoughtful, supported transition for both the pet and the adopter.

Join Our Mission

Are you ready to find your new best friend? We invite you to view our adoptable animals online or make a reservation to visit us at Keller's Klubhouse to spend time with our cats. If you cannot adopt, consider becoming a foster parent or volunteer to help us continue this vital work—together, we can make the world a more humane place for all creatures.

10/10 - 🧡🐾 CANDY CORN UPDATE — EVERY LITTLE STEP IS A VICTORY! 🐾🧡 Our sweet little Candy Corn is still fighting, and he has an AMAZING team fighting right alongside him! ❤️‍🩹 This tiny boy now has FOUR veterinarians working on his case! 🩺❤️ Four dedicated doctors putting their knowledge, experience, and hearts together to give him the very best chance possible. Thank you to Ark Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care Candy Corn has undergone multiple tests as his medical team works to understand everything happening with his little body. 💔 Right now, one of the biggest concerns is possible head trauma. Unfortunately, head injuries are not something that can be fixed overnight. Healing takes time, patience, and a whole lot of hope. There are no guarantees, and we know his road to recovery could be a long one. But here's what keeps us going... 🧡 HE IS MAKING TINY BITS OF PROGRESS! 🧡 They may seem like the smallest improvements to someone else, but to us, they mean EVERYTHING! Every little movement, every tiny improvement, every sign that he's still fighting gives us another reason to keep believing in this precious boy. ❤️ And today, something incredibly special happened... One of Candy Corn's veterinarians absolutely FELL IN LOVE with him! 🥹❤️ So much so that the doctor offered to TAKE CANDY CORN HOME FOR THE ENTIRE WEEKEND to personally care for him and keep a close eye on his progress! Let that sink in for a moment... This little kitten, who was thrown from a car into the rain, left cold, flea-covered, weak, and fighting for his life, now has an entire team of people who refuse to give up on him. From being discarded like he didn't matter... to being surrounded by people who know his life is worth fighting for. 💔❤️ THAT is what rescue is all about. We don't know what tomorrow will bring. We don't know how much progress he will make or how long his recovery may take. But we DO know one thing... 🐾 CANDY CORN HAS THE BEST TEAM ON HIS SIDE, AND HE IS SO VERY LOVED! 🐾 To the four incredible veterinarians working together on his case, THANK YOU. Thank you for looking beyond his fragile little body and seeing a life worth saving. Thank you for giving him your time, your expertise, and most importantly, your hearts. ❤️ And to everyone following his journey, praying for him, donating toward his care, and cheering him on... PLEASE DON'T STOP BELIEVING IN OUR LITTLE CANDY CORN! 🙏🧡 He has already survived so much. Now we just need to give him the time and medical care he needs to see what this little fighter can overcome. 🧡 One tiny step at a time. 🐾 One day at a time. ❤️ One precious little life worth every effort. KEEP FIGHTING, CANDY CORN!
