Pet Pride of New York

Pet Pride of New York

Our Mission

Pet Pride of New York saves the lives of homeless cats in our community by providing expert veterinary care, a safe sanctuary, and placement into loving adoptive homes.

Our History

Since our founding in 1977 by dedicated rescuer Jacqueline Russel and veterinarian Dr. Stuart Gluckman, we have been committed to the welfare of cats. We have operated our own dedicated sanctuary and adoption center in Victor, New York, since 2000, continuing to evolve to meet the needs of the cats in our care.

Our Sanctuary

Our cats live in a 4500 square-foot sanctuary set on 15 wooded acres, featuring an enriched, open environment with ramps, cubbies, and sunny catios. We provide kittens with a specialized, playful space called the Kitten Kingdom and ensure that all residents receive top-tier medical attention in our on-site Healing Paws Medical Center.

The Adopter Connection

We believe every cat deserves a permanent, loving home, and we employ best practices in our adoption process to find the perfect match for each resident. Our compassionate team is dedicated to supporting you through the transition, ensuring a lasting and healthy relationship with your new feline family member.

Find Your New Best Friend

You can make a difference in a cat's life today by choosing adoption. We invite you to view our adoptable cats online or visit us at our Victor facility to meet our residents and discover the joy of giving a deserving cat a second chance at a forever home.

9/22 - 239 days. That’s how long Luna has been waiting for someone to choose her. 🥺🤍 Luna is only 2 years old, and when she first came to Pet Pride, she wasn’t alone. She arrived with her mom and siblings. One by one, they found their homes. And somehow… Luna is still here. We keep wondering how such a sweet, affectionate girl keeps getting overlooked. 🖤 Because if you walk into her room, there’s a very good chance Luna will be one of the first cats to greet you. 🥹 She constantly sits by the door, watching and waiting for someone to come in. 🥺 Not because she wants anything complicated. She just wants attention. She wants pets. She wants someone to stop and love on her for a little while. 🤍 And trust us, she gets plenty of love from our staff, volunteers and visitors. It’s pretty hard to walk past Luna without stopping to say hello. 😂 But after 239 days, we’d really love for those little moments of attention to be replaced by something permanent. Her own person. Her own favorite spot in the house. 🏠 Her own door to wait by. Her own family to greet every single day. 🥺 Luna absolutely LOVES being pet, and she does great with other cats, too. She watched her mom and siblings leave for their forever homes. Now we’re hoping it’s finally Luna’s turn. 🤍 Please share Luna’s story and help us find the person she’s been waiting 239 days to meet. 🐾 If you’re interested in meeting Luna, please fill out the adoption application on our website at: https://www.petprideny.org/adopt/adopt-adoption-form.
