Jefferson County Dog Control is dedicated to providing compassionate care for dogs in need while ensuring public safety and education for our community. We strive to connect every dog in our care with a loving, permanent home through a transparent and professional adoption process.
Operating under agreements with the City of Watertown and 15 towns across Jefferson County, we serve as a vital resource for both people and pets. Our team is committed to upholding Article 7 of the Agriculture and Markets Law to ensure that all dogs receive the protection and respect they deserve within our jurisdiction.
Our facility, located in Watertown, serves as a safe environment for dogs that are lost, stray, or in need of temporary housing. Our dedicated staff provides daily care, including cleaning, feeding, and medical support such as rabies vaccinations for all dogs prior to adoption. We work diligently to manage the health and well-being of every animal in our care while they wait to meet their new families.
Choosing to adopt is a wonderful way to change a life, and we are here to make that journey meaningful and supportive. We believe that every successful adoption begins with a thoughtful match, and our team is happy to assist you in finding a companion that fits your home and lifestyle. We look forward to helping you start a new chapter with a loyal, four-legged friend.
