Humane Society of Davie County
Our Mission
The Humane Society of Davie County is dedicated to preventing cruelty and suffering among cats and dogs through a passionate commitment to rescue, adoption, and community education.
Why We Are Here
We are a non-profit organization focused on reducing homelessness and euthanasia in our community. By providing essential services like spay and neuter programs, pet food pantries, and TNR initiatives, we strive to create a safer, more humane future for local animals.
Our Foster-Based Model
Because we believe every animal deserves a comfortable, loving environment, we operate primarily through a dedicated network of foster homes rather than a traditional kennel facility. This home-based approach allows our animals to receive individualized care and socialization, helping them transition smoothly into their forever homes. Our staff and foster volunteers work hand-in-hand to provide the support and attention every pet needs to thrive while they wait for their perfect match.
Finding Your Perfect Companion
At the Humane Society of Davie County, second chances are our top priority. We focus on thoughtful, personal matching to ensure each pet finds a family that aligns with their personality and needs, whether they are playful kittens or seasoned, chill adult dogs. Adopting is more than just bringing home a pet; it is the beginning of a lifelong, joyful partnership that changes both your lives for the better.
