The Stanly County Humane Society is dedicated to eliminating the number of animals being mistreated, abandoned, or euthanized. We work tirelessly every day to give every animal a path toward a safe and loving future.

Our Story and Community

Established on June 20th, 2005, we are a 501(c)(3) organization driven by an amazing devotion to helping animals. Our work is made possible by the incredible support of our hardworking volunteers and the generous contributions of our community.

How We Care for Our Animals

We rescue animals from local animal control, homes in transition, and other organizations. While some cats are accommodated at our facility, the majority of our animals are placed in loving foster homes, where they receive personalized care and human interaction until they are ready to meet their new families.
