Pender County Animal Shelter
A Heart for Our Community Animals
At the Pender County Animal Shelter, our mission is to provide a safe, temporary environment for animals in our care and to connect them with loving, permanent homes. We are dedicated to serving the residents of Pender County by supporting animal welfare and public safety.
Our Commitment to Care
We believe every animal deserves a chance at a happy life. Our facility serves as a vital resource for Pender County, providing shelter for stray and surrendered animals while offering essential services like rabies vaccinations to keep our pets and neighbors safe.
Providing a Second Chance
Our dedicated team works hard every day to evaluate each animal’s temperament and health, ensuring they are ready for their new journey. By maintaining a clean, professional facility in Burgaw, we ensure that every pet receives the basic care and medical attention they need while awaiting their forever families.
The Joy of Adoption
Adopting from our shelter is a rewarding partnership that changes a life. Every dog and cat ready for adoption has been spayed or neutered, microchipped, and given age-appropriate vaccinations, providing you peace of mind as you welcome your new companion home. We are committed to making the adoption process transparent and straightforward for all qualified, caring individuals.
