Guilford County Animal Shelter

Our Mission

Guilford County Animal Services is dedicated to providing compassionate care for every lost, abandoned, and surrendered animal in our community. We strive to be a reliable resource, ensuring each animal receives the attention and care they deserve while awaiting their forever home.

Why We Are Here

We serve as a vital community hub in Greensboro, addressing the needs of animals who find themselves without a family. By offering a safe environment and necessary medical services, we bridge the gap between pets in transition and the loving families ready to welcome them.

How We Care

Our operations are centered at our facility on Guilford College Road, where we provide essential support, including spay and neuter services, vaccinations, and microchipping for our adoptable pets. Beyond our walls, we rely on a dedicated team of volunteers and foster families who offer temporary homes and extra care to help animals thrive while they wait for adoption.

Your Partnership in Adoption

We believe that finding the right pet is a fulfilling journey, and we are honored to help you make that connection. Because we prioritize the safety and well-being of our residents, we provide resources and guidance to ensure every match is thoughtful, setting both the pet and the adopter up for a successful future together.

Take the Next Step

Ready to meet your new family member? Visit our adoption gallery online or join us at our facility in Greensboro to explore our available pets. We invite you to follow our GCAS Alumni Facebook Group to share in the joy of our successful adoptions and connect with other pet owners in our community.
