Founded in 2013 by Staci Ventura and Eric Crespo, our organization was born from a desire to address the critical need for animal rescue services in rural areas. Over the years, we have grown from a passionate grassroots effort into a trusted nonprofit, marking the milestone of over 8,400 pets adopted as of 2026.
How We Operate
Our care model is a blend of dedicated volunteer foster homes and our central rescue facility in Jacksonville, North Carolina. By leveraging a robust network of fosters and our own in-house veterinary clinic, we provide a safe, nurturing environment for animals to thrive until they find their perfect match. Our comprehensive approach ensures that every pet receives the medical attention and socialization they deserve.
