Our mission is to find loving forever homes for unwanted, abandoned, and homeless dogs in Caldwell County, North Carolina. We are dedicated to creating a community where every dog is cherished and every home is filled with love.
Founded in 2008 by the late Judy Cary, we began as a foster-based rescue and have grown steadily to better serve our community. Today, our efforts include The Bunch Anderson Foster Suites and an Adoption Events Center, allowing us to help hundreds of dogs each year.
Foothills Canine Rescue is a 100% volunteer-led organization that operates through a robust network of foster homes and our specialized on-site facility. We are proud to be a no-kill rescue, meaning we always do our absolute best to ensure a positive, live outcome for every dog in our care. Our expansion into the Foothills Canine Health Clinic represents our ongoing commitment to providing essential medical support for our residents.
Adoption is the start of a beautiful partnership, and we are here to help you find the perfect companion to share your life with. We take the time to get to know our dogs individually, ensuring that every placement is a thoughtful match for both the animal and your family. We believe that life is truly better with a rescue dog.
Are you ready to find your new best friend? We invite you to view our adoptable dogs on our website or visit us during our Saturday hours to meet some of our wonderful residents. You can also support our life-saving work by visiting our resale store, volunteering your time, or donating to help us continue this vital work.
