Our Mission
At Godbey Creek Canine Rescue, our mission is to protect, provide for, promote, and place dogs into loving forever homes. We are passionate about giving these deserving companions a helping hand along their journey to a better life.
Our Story and Vision
Since our founding in 2013, we have successfully placed over 1,000 dogs in wonderful homes. We operate on a beautiful 52-acre site in Davie County, North Carolina, with a clear vision: to achieve zero unnecessary canine euthanasia in our community by 2030.
A Different Approach to Rescue
What makes us different is our commitment to deep, individualized care for every dog we welcome. Our team spends an average of six months with each resident, providing a unique enrichment program that includes daily outdoor time, socialization, and even home-environment experiences. Unlike traditional facilities, we are equipped to take in difficult-to-place pets and heartworm-positive dogs, nursing them back to full health and happiness.

We believe that adoption is a joyful, life-changing experience, and we prioritize finding the right match for both the dog and your family. To ensure long-term success, we utilize a 3-week foster-to-adopt assessment period, allowing you to see how your new companion integrates into your unique environment. Our team is dedicated to guiding you through this transition so you can focus on building a beautiful life with your new best friend.
