Humane Society of Union County, Inc.
Our Mission
At the Humane Society of Union County, we work tirelessly to ensure that every dog and cat in our community has the opportunity to live a happy, healthy life. Our compassionate team is united by a simple, powerful belief: every life matters.
Thirty Years of Compassion
For more than three decades, we have been a dedicated presence in our corner of the planet. We strive to create a better future for local pets by addressing the root causes of overpopulation through our Monroe Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic, which has provided thousands of vital surgeries since 2011.
Our Foster-Based Approach
We are a unique, foster-based rescue, which means our animals don’t wait for forever families in a traditional shelter facility. Instead, our dogs and kittens live in the loving homes of our volunteer network, allowing them to thrive in a real-world environment while they prepare to join your family. This personal setting provides us with unique insights into each animal's personality and needs.
Finding Your Perfect Match
We believe that adopting a pet is a joyful, lifelong partnership, and we are here to help you find your ideal companion. Our dedicated adoption team works closely with every prospective family to ensure that the pet you choose is a perfect match for your lifestyle. By focusing on thoughtful introductions and clear communication, we ensure that the bond you build with your new pet is built to last.
