Paws Place Dog Rescue is a non-profit, no-kill shelter dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption of dogs. We believe in finding a loving home for every dog we rescue, one life at a time.
Founded in 1999 in Brunswick County, North Carolina, Paws Place was established to provide a safe haven for dogs in need. As a registered 501(c)3 non-profit, we have spent over two decades committed to our no-kill philosophy and the welfare of our animals.
We operate entirely on the generous contributions of donors and the hard work of our dedicated volunteers. Upon arrival, every rescued dog receives a full veterinary examination, vaccinations, heartworm and parasite prevention, and microchipping. During their stay, each dog is showered with affection as they prepare to transition into their forever homes.
We believe that thoughtful matching is essential for a successful partnership between you and your new best friend. Our seven-step adoption process, which includes a self-assessment and a home visit, ensures that each dog is placed in an environment compatible with their specific needs and temperament. Our team is here to support you every step of the way as we work to make your adoption experience a joyful one.
Are you ready to meet your new companion? We invite you to browse our available dogs online or visit us at our facility in Winnabow, North Carolina, Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
