Yadkin County Animal Shelter
Our Mission
At the Yadkin County Animal Shelter, we are dedicated to the health and well-being of every dog and cat entrusted to our care. We strive to provide compassionate service while connecting animals with their forever families.
Our Story
Opening our doors in 2005, the Yadkin County Animal Shelter has served as a vital community resource for nearly two decades. We focus on reuniting lost pets with their owners and ensuring that every animal in need finds a path to a loving, permanent home.
How We Care
Our facility is equipped to provide a safe environment for our residents, featuring 21 dog kennels, three outdoor kennels, and a specialized adoptable cat room known as the Catty Shack. We also rely on a dedicated volunteer foster program to provide essential home-based care for young, sick, or injured animals who need a little extra time to heal before they are ready to meet their new families.
Finding Your Perfect Match
Adopting a pet is the start of a joyful partnership, and we are here to help you make a thoughtful choice. Whether you are looking for a playful companion or a calm best friend, our team is committed to facilitating successful adoptions by helping you find the animal that best fits your lifestyle and home environment.
