Our Mission
Our mission is to create a more humane and compassionate world, one cat at a time. We are dedicated to rescuing, protecting, and placing cats into loving, lifelong homes through education and compassionate care.
Who We Are
Since opening our doors in 2011, Cat's Cradle Shelter has operated as a non-profit, no-kill organization serving the Fargo, Moorhead, and West Fargo area. We rely entirely on the generosity of our community through donations and fundraising to continue our life-saving work.
Our Care Model
We pride ourselves on a unique approach that prioritizes comfort and socialization. Our shelter features colony-based rooms where residents live in compatible groups, enjoying vertical climbing space, natural sunlight, and personalized volunteer care. For younger kittens and those needing extra attention, our vital network of foster families provides a safe, home-based environment to thrive before they are ready for adoption.

Our adoption process includes thoughtful interviews and personalized guidance to help you select a cat whose personality and temperament align with your lifestyle. Because we care deeply about the success of every transition, we provide the support you need to ensure your cat feels right at home.

We invite you to experience our vibrant shelter community firsthand. Please join us during our Open House hours every Tuesday from 3pm–6pm or Saturday from 12pm–4pm to meet our wonderful residents.
