Doberman Underground Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming Doberman Pinschers and Doberman mixes with the simple mission: No Dog Left Behind. We believe in offering a bright new chapter to dogs in need across Ohio, Michigan, West Virginia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and Indiana.
Founded in 2013, we specialize in supporting dogs facing complex medical, behavioral, and emotional challenges. We recognize the profound impact that dedicated rescue work has on the lives of these incredible animals, and we strive to provide the comprehensive care they deserve from the moment they come into our fold.
Doberman Underground operates as an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue, meaning we do not maintain a physical facility. By living in private foster homes, our dogs receive individualized attention, thorough veterinary care, and the warmth of a family environment while they prepare for their permanent placements. We pride ourselves on following the Doberman Pinscher Club of America’s Code of Ethics in every aspect of our work.
We are deeply committed to thoughtful, intentional matching because we want every adoption to be a successful, lifelong partnership. Our process includes vet checks and home visits to ensure that each dog finds a family perfectly suited to their needs and personality. When you adopt from us, you gain a partner in your journey of pet ownership, supported by our guidance and resources.
Are you ready to welcome a new companion into your life or interested in supporting our work? We invite you to browse our available dogs to find your perfect match or learn more about our volunteer and foster opportunities. Thank you for helping us provide these deserving dogs with the loving futures they deserve.
