Buckeye's Mission
Our Mission
Buckeye's Missions and Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing homeless animals and providing them with a second chance at a loving, permanent home. We work tirelessly to nurture these animals, building their confidence and showering them with the affection they truly deserve.
Our Story
Our journey began with a promise to honor the memory of Buckeye, an intelligent and goofy pit bull who was cherished by his family. After experiencing his joyful, loyal, and affectionate personality, his family committed themselves to defying negative breed perceptions and rescuing less fortunate dogs in need of support.
How We Help
We believe every rescue dog deserves a safe haven, which is why we established our sanctuary on a 2.75-acre property in Brunswick, Ohio. We operate a full-service facility called Buckeye's Mission Too, offering boarding, daycare, grooming, and training to the public. Proceeds from these professional services directly fund the medical care, food, and ongoing maintenance of our rescue dogs, ensuring they have a comfortable home until they find their forever families.
The Adopter Connection
We know that pets are a crucial member of the family, and we take great care in preparing our rescues for their next chapter. Whether a dog is undergoing rehabilitation or awaiting adoption, our team uses positive reinforcement and dedicated socialization to ensure they are ready to thrive. We invite you to experience the deep, loyal bond that a rescue dog brings into your life.
