The Humane Society Serving Crawford County is dedicated to improving animal welfare and providing protection for all animals in our community. We are committed to preventing cruelty and neglect while working to curb pet overpopulation through active education and compassionate action.
Founded in 1971, our 501c3 non-profit organization has proudly served Crawford County for nearly 50 years. We operate as an entirely self-funded entity, relying solely on the generosity of our supporters, fundraisers, memorials, and our weekly bingo games to sustain our vital work.
We work tirelessly to maintain a clean, inviting, and comfortable shelter environment for the animals in our care. On average, we help 2,000 animals each year, including abandoned, abused, and neglected pets, as well as those brought to us by municipal partners or community members in need. Our dedicated team is committed to providing a safe haven for these animals while they wait for their new families.
Adoption is a joyful partnership, and we believe that by helping people with their pet needs, we make our community a brighter place one adoption at a time. Our team is here to support you in finding the perfect companion, ensuring that every pet finds the loving home they deserve.
We invite you to experience the difference our team makes firsthand by visiting our facility in Bucyrus or browsing our current list of adoptable cats and dogs online. Your support, whether through adoption, volunteering, or donations, directly enables us to continue our life-saving work for the pets and people of Crawford County. We look forward to meeting you and helping you find your new best friend.
