Guernsey County Dog Shelter

Welcome to the Guernsey County Dog Shelter, where we believe in the value of every dog and the potential for every human to make a difference. Since our establishment in 2015, we have committed ourselves to being a catalyst for positive change within our community. Our mission is rooted in the principles of support, empowerment, and progress, ensuring that each dog receives the care and attention they need while also finding their forever homes. At the Guernsey County Dog Shelter, we understand that every dog deserves a loving home, but we also recognize that not every home is suitable for every dog. This awareness drives our careful adoption process, ensuring that both our dogs and their new families find the perfect match. We pride ourselves on maintaining a safe and respectful environment for both our visitors and our dogs. Our facility guidelines encourage responsible interaction with our animals, emphasizing the importance of safety and the well-being of our dogs. We ask all visitors to follow our guidelines, ensuring that everyone has a positive experience while fostering an environment conducive to the dogs' health and happiness. The dedicated team at Guernsey County Dog Shelter is here to assist you every step of the way. Our staff, identifiable by their blue shirts, is always ready to provide support, whether you need help interacting with a dog or have questions about our adoption process. Join us in making a difference—visit us during our shelter hours from Tuesday to Saturday between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm, or during our office hours Monday to Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Together, we can work towards a better tomorrow for our furry friends.
