Our Mission
Gigi's is a nonprofit regional care organization dedicated to improving the lives of shelter dogs through high-quality care, behavior support, and successful adoptions. We believe in providing homeless dogs with a clear, compassionate path to finding the loving families they deserve.
The Why Behind Our Work
We focus on supporting rural shelters in Ohio that often face overwhelming challenges, limited resources, and overcrowding. By stepping in to provide specialized veterinary, behavioral, and shelter services, we help these dogs transition from difficult circumstances into the healthy, happy lives they were always meant to lead.
Our Care Model
Our work happens at our state-of-the-art, 6-acre campus in Columbus, where a dedicated team provides comprehensive medical and behavioral care. We combine national expertise and research-driven practices to ensure every dog is fully vetted, medically cleared, and ready for their next chapter. We also maintain a vibrant foster network, providing dogs with essential rest and socialization in a home environment before they find their permanent match.

10/9 - Meet Titus! This goofy-eared, bouncy boy is ready to ditch the shelter and find a family who can keep up with his puppy energy. 💙 At just 9 months old and 35 pounds, Titus has a lot of personality packed into one adorable package! A few things to know about Titus: 🐾 Active & playful: Titus is an energetic young dog who loves to bounce around and have fun. 🐾 Certified goofball: Those silly ears are guaranteed to make you smile! 🐾 People-loving: Titus frequently solicits attention and loves being around his people. Once he settles down, he’s happy to curl up next to you on the couch. 🐾 Dog-friendly: He has done well meeting other dogs here at Gigi’s, including a dog much smaller than him and a similar-sized, energetic male. He even enjoyed some on-leash play with his smaller friend! 🐾 Still learning: Titus may not be completely familiar with leash walking and walking equipment yet. He can get overwhelmed when he first sees another dog outside, but after taking a moment to settle, he was able to walk normally and approach appropriately. 🐾 Ready for training: Titus will benefit from continued rewards-based training, plenty of exercise, and fun outlets for all that puppy energy. Titus is looking for an active family who can help him continue learning while giving him plenty of opportunities to play, explore, and just be his goofy self. 9/28 - This curly-coated, soulful-eyed guy, Asher, is about 2 years old, weighs 61 pounds and will be available for adoption beginning Wednesday, September 30 during our walk-in adoption hours starting at 2 PM. Asher is more than just a very handsome face. He already knows sit, down and shake, enjoys a good sniffy walk and would love to keep building his skills through rewards-based training. He’s also done well meeting dogs of varying sizes here at Gigi’s. 9/24 - Meet Ringo! He is about 1.5 years old, 22 pounds, and we think he may be a Mini Aussie mix. He’s a high-energy guy who loves spending time with his people, playing with toys and showing off what he knows. He already has “sit” and “lay down” in his repertoire — although sometimes he combines the two into a move that is uniquely Ringo. He’s still working on his leash manners, and during quieter moments, he may pace a bit before checking back in with his handlers for some extra attention.
