Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue and Peppermint Pig Thrift & Gift
Our Mission
Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue is dedicated to saving lives and giving animals a second chance through rescue, compassion, and community support. Since 2006, our mission has been to provide hope and a path to forever homes for animals in need.
Our History and Community Impact
Established in 2006, Peppermint Pig has grown into a 100% volunteer-operated, no-kill 501(c)(3) rescue located in Cincinnati, Ohio. We bridge the gap between low adoption fees and the high cost of medical care by operating our unique Thrift and Gift store, where every single dollar earned goes directly back into the rehabilitation and daily care of our animals.
Our Care Model
We are proud to be a 100% foster-based organization, which means our rescues live in loving homes while they wait to meet their new families. This environment allows us to provide personalized attention and ensures that each pet receives the food, medicine, and socialization they deserve. By working closely with open-intake shelters and rural areas with high euthanasia rates, we focus on saving those who need us most.
The Joy of Adoption
Adoption is a beautiful partnership, and we are committed to finding the perfect match for both the animal and your family. Because we want every adoption to be a permanent success, we carefully review applications to ensure our pets are placed in environments that suit their individual energy levels and needs. We believe this thoughtful approach creates the happiest, most lasting bonds.
