At the Circle Area Humane Society, we are dedicated to finding loving, forever homes for companion animals in need. We believe every animal deserves a second chance to live a happy, secure life as part of a caring family.
Founded in 1947, we have served the Pickaway County community for decades as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We operate entirely through the generosity of our supporters and volunteers, as we receive no tax dollars or government funding to support our lifesaving work.
We pride ourselves on providing a clean, safe environment where animals are healthy, tame, and friendly while they await their forever families. Because we are not an open-to-the-public facility, we operate by appointment only to ensure each animal receives dedicated attention. Our focus remains on those confiscated by or surrendered to our Humane Agents, ensuring that rescued animals receive the medical care and support they deserve.
We take great care to ensure our animals are matched with the right environments, requiring applicants to be at least 22 years old and financially prepared for the long-term commitment of pet ownership. By prioritizing stable homes and requiring all adoptions to include spay or neuter services, we aim to create successful, lasting partnerships between pets and their new companions. We reserve the right to refuse applications to ensure the well-being of our animals remains the top priority.
Are you ready to meet your new best friend? We invite you to view our adoptable animals online and complete an application to start the process of bringing a new family member home. Whether you choose to adopt or support our cause through a donation, you are making a difference in the lives of animals right here in our community.
