The Cat Welfare Association is dedicated to the care of and education about cats and kittens. We pledge to cherish, nurture, and provide veterinary care for the homeless, abused, injured, and abandoned felines in our community.
Founded in 1945 by a small group of people committed to helping stray and abused cats in the Columbus area, we have grown into a dedicated 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. For over 80 years, we have provided a safe haven for felines in need, ensuring that every cat receives the attention and medical support they deserve.
We operate a physical shelter facility in Clintonville, where we provide a comfortable environment for our cats until they find their forever families. Because we believe in a lifetime commitment, any cat that is not adopted has a permanent home with us, where they are cared for by our dedicated staff and volunteers. Our facility is a true sanctuary, serving as the home our feline residents rely on every single day.
Adoption is a joyful partnership, and we strive to find each cat an appropriate, safe, and loving environment that matches their unique personality. We are proud to provide comprehensive medical care for all our adoptable residents, including vaccinations, microchipping, and spay or neuter surgeries. By choosing to adopt from us, you become a vital part of a cat's second chance at a happy, healthy life.
Are you ready to meet your new best friend? We invite you to view our current listings of adoptable cats online or visit our shelter on Wetmore Road to see our wonderful residents in person. We look forward to helping you find the perfect companion to bring joy to your home.
