CHA Animal Shelter
Our Mission
Since 1975, CHA Animal Shelter has been dedicated to serving the people and animals of Central Ohio by providing safe, temporary shelter for homeless dogs and cats. We strive to reduce pet overpopulation through spay and neuter services, community education, and outreach.
Our History and Community
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we are proud to be a cornerstone of animal welfare in northeast Columbus. Our work is powered entirely by the compassion of our donors, adopters, staff, and volunteers who help us provide a loving environment for animals while they wait for their forever homes.
How We Care
CHA is a dedicated shelter facility where we prioritize the well-being of every animal in our care. Our staff and volunteers are trained in the Fear Free Shelter Program, which ensures we meet the emotional needs of our animals, helping them feel secure and comfortable during their stay.
The Adopter Connection
Adoption is a joyful partnership, and we are committed to helping you find the perfect match for your family. By working closely with our Adoption Counselors, you ensure that you are bringing home a companion who fits your lifestyle and needs. We celebrate every successful adoption and believe every animal deserves a loving, stable family.
