Columbus Dog Connection
Our Mission
Columbus Dog Connection is a community dedicated to improving the lives of dogs and cats across Ohio through rescue, adoption, and vital prevention efforts. We believe every animal deserves a loving, safe, and permanent home.
Our Story
Since our founding in 1998, we have remained committed to ending pet overpopulation and providing a voice for animals in need. Over the past 25 years, our mission has evolved from promoting local adoption resources to operating an active rescue, high-quality low-cost spay/neuter clinics, and community outreach programs that touch thousands of lives.
Our Care Model
As a 501(c)(3) limited-admission rescue, we prioritize the individual needs of every pet in our care. While we maintain a Quasi-Cat Shelter at our Columbus facility, most of our animals thrive in our dedicated foster network until they find their perfect match. This foster-based approach allows us to provide personalized attention and a loving environment for dogs and cats as they await their next chapter.
The Adopter Connection
Adopting a pet is a life-changing decision that transforms both your life and the life of a deserving animal. We focus on finding the best possible match for every family through a transparent, thoughtful process that includes meet-and-greets and home visits. We are here to support you in building a meaningful, long-term bond with your new best friend.
