Humane Society of Sandusky County
Our Mission
Our mission is to rescue, protect, and advocate for animals in need by providing compassionate care, rehabilitation, and rehoming services. We strive to build a compassionate, informed community dedicated to ensuring the humane treatment of all animals, today and in the future.
Our Commitment to Our Community
As a private, non-profit, no-kill animal shelter, we serve as a vital resource for our local area. We work tirelessly to reduce pet overpopulation through education and by providing essential services like spay and neuter resources to help keep pets happy and healthy in their current homes.
Our Care Model
When animals come to our facility, they receive comprehensive medical attention to ensure they are ready for their new families. Every animal in our care is spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and treated for parasites, all supported by our team and dedicated volunteers who provide daily care and socialization.
Finding Your Perfect Match
Adoption is a joyful partnership, and we are committed to helping you find the animal that best fits your lifestyle, activity level, and family needs. Because we want every adoption to last a lifetime, we take a thoughtful approach to matching pets with their new families, ensuring a smooth and happy transition for everyone involved.
