Columbus Humane
Our Mission
At Columbus Humane, our mission is to fight animal cruelty, help animals in need, and advocate for their well-being. We believe that when you provide resources that open doors and invite involvement, everyone in our community thrives.
Our History
Since 1883, we have been a dedicated team of experts driven by a commitment to animals. For over 140 years, we have evolved to meet the needs of Franklin County, relying on the passion of our community to continue our lifesaving work.
How We Help
Our newly renovated shelter provides a stimulating environment designed to reduce stress and offer a state-of-the-art level of care. We are not a government agency, but rather a community-supported 501(c)(3) organization that provides comprehensive medical care, foster programs, and support services to ensure every animal gets the best possible start.
The Adopter Connection
Adoption is a life-changing experience for both the animal and you, rooted in the joy of finding the perfect match. Our expert team and volunteers are dedicated to supporting you through the process, offering guidance on care and training so your new family member feels right at home. We believe in transparency and providing all the information you need to build a lasting, loving bond.
Join Our Mission
We invite you to experience the anticipation and excitement of adoption by visiting our Adoption Center. Whether you are ready to welcome a new pet today or simply want to learn more about our work, we look forward to meeting you. Together, we can ensure every companion animal is a valued, cherished member of a loving family.
