Hocking County Humane Society
Our Mission
The Hocking County Humane Society is a dedicated 501c3 non-profit organization focused on rescuing, caring for, and finding forever homes for abused, neglected, and abandoned animals. From our family to yours, we strive to provide every animal in our care the absolute best chance at a happy life.
A Community-Focused Approach
Since our inception, we have remained rooted in the Hocking County community. In 2019, we strengthened our impact by initiating a collaborative partnership with the Hocking County Sheriff's Office and the local Dog Warden, ensuring we stand as one team with one effort to serve animals in need.
Comprehensive Care and Transparency
We believe every animal deserves to be healthy and ready for their new family. Through our partnership with Creature Comforts Veterinary Center, every cat and dog receives a full medical exam, necessary testing, vaccinations, and is spayed or neutered before adoption. We pride ourselves on this commitment to medical excellence for every pet that passes through our doors.
Your New Forever Friend
Our adoption process is simple and transparent, designed to help you find the perfect companion. Whether you are looking for a cat, dog, or even larger animals like horses or goats, our available residents are always changing. We invite you to view our current adoptable pets on Petfinder, where you can see photos and learn more about each animal's unique personality.
