At the Humane Society of Ottawa County, we are a dedicated team with a passion for helping animals, striving to provide vital services and resources to both the animals and residents of our community.
Established in 1976, we have proudly served as a 501(c)(3) organization for nearly five decades. We are committed to humanely caring for abandoned, abused, unwanted, and neglected animals while providing education and support to ensure pets and their families thrive together.
As a NO KILL shelter, we believe every animal deserves a chance, and we do not euthanize for space. Our team works hard to transform animals in need into loving members of new families, utilizing a program of spaying and neutering to help more pets find forever homes. Because we are not an open-admission facility, every animal in our care receives focused attention as they wait for their perfect match.
We believe that saving one animal may not change the world, but for that one animal, the world changes forever. When you choose to adopt, you are partnering with us to continue our mission of providing a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves. We are here to help guide you through the process of finding your new companion and making memories that last a lifetime.
We invite you to experience the difference our team makes every day by visiting us or exploring our adoptable dogs and cats online. Whether you are looking to adopt, volunteer, or support our work through a donation, your generosity allows us to change lives.
