Our History and Purpose
Established in 1927, we are proud to be Toledo's oldest no-kill rescue. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we operate independently of government funding, relying entirely on the generosity of our community to keep our doors open and our mission moving forward.
How We Care for Animals
Our dedicated team and loyal volunteers work tirelessly to provide food, shelter, and medical treatment for the animals in our care. Because we are a no-kill shelter, our animals remain with us in a safe, nurturing environment until they find their forever homes, with no time limits on their stay as long as they remain healthy.
