Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center
Our Mission
The Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center is dedicated to finding loving, forever homes for every dog in our care. We are committed to connecting our canine residents with the right families to ensure a lifetime of companionship.
Our Purpose
Located at 1854 East Pike in Zanesville, our facility serves as a vital resource for our local community. Our team and dedicated volunteers are currently focused on raising both awareness and the necessary funds to construct a much-needed new facility to better serve the animals of Muskingum County.
How We Care for Our Dogs
Every dog in our facility is eligible for adoption once their initial three-day stray hold period is complete. We ensure that all adopted dogs are spayed or neutered by a veterinarian under contract with Muskingum County, unless this has already been completed prior to their arrival. Our process is transparent and straightforward to ensure the health and well-being of every pet.
Building Lifelong Bonds
Our volunteers play a crucial role in our mission by managing a dedicated social media presence to network our dogs and highlight their unique personalities. We believe that every dog deserves a fresh start, and we take pride in facilitating the joyful union between our rescues and their new families. By sharing their stories, we help potential adopters find the perfect match for their home.
