Stephens County Humane Society, OK

A New Leash on Life

Stephens County Humane Society is dedicated to providing a safe, loving haven for homeless animals in need of a fresh start. We work tirelessly to ensure every dog and cat entrusted to our care finds a successful, permanent home.

Our History and Mission

Since our incorporation in 1983, we have served as a private 501(c)3 non-profit organization for the local community. We address a critical need by providing shelter, medical care, and compassion to both owner surrenders and country strays.

How We Care for Our Animals

Operating our own facility in Duncan, Oklahoma, we offer a comprehensive approach to animal welfare that goes beyond basic housing. Last year alone, we provided shelter, nourishment, and medical attention to over 1,200 animals. We believe in proactive care by educating the public on essential topics like vaccinations, heartworm prevention, and the importance of spaying and neutering.

Finding Your Perfect Companion

We are here to support every animal, from the tiniest newborn puppies and kittens to senior pets waiting for their well-deserved retirement homes. Our mission is to facilitate joyful partnerships through thoughtful adoption efforts that prioritize the long-term well-being of both the pet and the adopter. We love them all, and we are committed to making the rehoming process as quick and successful as possible.

Join Us in Saving Lives

Whether you are looking to bring a new friend into your home or simply want to support our mission, we invite you to connect with us. Visit our shelter at 714 Martin Luther King Jr Ave in Duncan to meet our residents, or reach out to us at (580) 252-7387 to learn more. Your support allows us to continue advocating for loving, responsible pet ownership throughout our community.
