Our Mission

The Edmond Animal Services Unit is dedicated to serving our community by protecting both wild and domestic animals while striving to unite lost pets with their families and finding loving, forever homes for those in our care. We are committed to the humane treatment and care of all animals within our facility.

As a vital component of the Edmond Police Department’s Special Services Division, we work hard to enforce municipal and state laws concerning animal welfare. Our team addresses community needs through responsive service and professional management, ensuring that every animal at our shelter receives the care and attention they deserve.

Our Care Model

Our shelter acts as a dedicated hub for animal care and rehoming, where our friendly and knowledgeable staff manage daily operations with a focus on compassion. Beyond daily care, we are proud to offer unique enrichment programs like Playgroups and Rescue Readers, as well as access to low-cost spay and neuter services in partnership with the Oklahoma Humane Society.
