Humane Society of Grove and Grand Lake - Adopt a pet
A Promise Kept
Second Chance Pet Rescue is a dedicated, life-saving non-profit animal shelter located in Grove, Oklahoma. We provide safe, secure housing for dogs and cats in need, ensuring that every animal in our care receives a fur-ever home, no matter how long it takes.
Our Mission
We believe in the power of second chances. Our shelter serves as a sanctuary for animals abandoned across Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, and Missouri, operating solely on the generosity of our community's donations. We are committed to providing every pet that comes through our doors the safety, love, and care they deserve until their perfect match is found.
How We Care
As a no-kill shelter, we house approximately 175 dogs and cats, maintaining our capacity to help as many animals as possible. Beyond the shelter facility, our foster care program invites the community to provide temporary, loving homes for pets needing socialization, medical recovery, or just a break from shelter life. This collaborative approach allows us to expand our impact and save more lives each day.
The Joy of Adoption
Adoption is a joyful partnership, and our team is here to ensure that finding your new best friend is a smooth, transparent experience. We take pride in our thoughtful matching process, where our adoption counselors help you find a pet that fits your lifestyle perfectly. With all of our animals spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines, you can focus on building a beautiful life with your new companion.
