For more than 35 years, the Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) of Tulsa has been dedicated to helping homeless pets find the loving, forever homes they deserve. We believe in the power of second chances and are committed to connecting every animal with a family ready to share their heart.
Our History and Mission
Founded over three decades ago, ARF serves the Tulsa area by rescuing animals from shelters where they may have been at risk of euthanasia. Our mission is built on the belief that every pet deserves a safe environment and the comprehensive care necessary to thrive before joining a new family.
A Foster-Focused Approach
ARF is unique because we operate primarily as a foster-based rescue, placing animals into loving homes rather than keeping them solely in a shelter environment. We maintain the ARF House at LaFortune Park as a central hub where volunteers provide daily care, exercise, and companionship to our adoptable pets while they wait for their perfect match.

We take great care in our adoption process to ensure every partnership is a success for both the pet and the adopter. By requiring veterinary references and home stability, we help ensure that our former shelter residents transition smoothly into their new lives as cherished family members.
