Our Mission
Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward is dedicated to the safe refuge and compassionate care of stray, homeless, owner-surrendered, neglected, and abused animals. We strive to foster a culture of kindness, empathy, and responsible stewardship through teamwork, collaboration, and community education.
Who We Are
Since opening our new state-of-the-art Animal Care and Community Education Centre in 2022, we have been proud to serve Hastings and Prince Edward Counties. We are a locally autonomous organization, meaning your support stays right here in our community to provide medical care, nutrition, and shelter for animals in need.

We are a professional facility staffed by trained experts, including veterinary assistants and registered veterinary technologists, who ensure every animal receives top-quality care. As a low-kill shelter, we provide a safe, nurturing environment for animals until they are ready to find their perfect forever homes. We believe in transparency and professional standards, ensuring our residents receive the same level of care you would expect from a trusted veterinary practice.
