The Brant County SPCA is dedicated to enriching the quality of life for our community members through the protection and care of all animals. We believe that every animal in Brant and beyond deserves a kind, compassionate, and safe environment.
Over 50 Years of Service
Since our shelter was built in 1969, we have served the City of Brantford and the County of Brant with unwavering commitment. As a not-for-profit organization, we rely on the kindness and generosity of our community to provide essential welfare services, as we do not receive government funding for our daily operations.
Our Care Model
Our dedicated staff works tirelessly behind the kennel doors, providing a temporary home for hundreds of animals every year. We are immensely proud of our loyal volunteer base and our foster community, which are crucial to our success in providing comfort and security to juveniles, the injured, and those needing extra love outside of the shelter environment.

Cheshire is a two-year-old sweetheart who recently had a litter of three kittens, including Hatter and Alice. She would do well in just about any home, including one with kids and other pets. She's so sweet, and she's ready to find a family that will love her. Thanks to our friends at Pet Valu on Market, whoever comes down to the SPCA and adopts Cheshire will receive a $100 pet starter kit to help welcome her home.
