Burlington Humane Society formerly Animal Aid
Our Mission
The Burlington Humane Society is a registered charity dedicated to improving the quality of life and welfare for stray and abandoned animals in our community. We provide a safe haven while working tirelessly to find loving forever homes for every dog and cat in our care.
A Commitment to Care
As Ontario’s premier no-kill shelter, our vision is to sustain a community where every pet is cherished and every owner understands the deep responsibility of pet companionship. We operate on the generous support of the public to ensure that every resident receives exemplary, ethical care while awaiting their new family.
How We Help
Our shelter at 740 Griffith Court serves as a hub of compassion, where we provide 24-hour care, medical attention, and rehabilitation for animals in need. By relying on our dedicated team and community donors, we ensure that our furry residents receive the love, socialization, and health support necessary to thrive.
Finding Your Perfect Match
Adoption is a joyful partnership, and our Adoption Counsellors are here to help you find the pet that perfectly complements your lifestyle and home. We invite you to visit us during our operating hours for a walk-in appointment, where you can meet our wonderful animals and begin the journey toward a new lifelong friendship.
Take the Next Step
Ready to meet your new best friend? We invite you to browse our current list of dogs and cats available for adoption on our website, or drop by our shelter to speak with our team. Together, we can make Burlington a kinder, more humane place for every animal.
