Our Mission
Toronto Animal Services is dedicated to providing quality care for homeless animals and finding responsible, loving homes for over 4,000 animals each year. We strive to be a leader in animal welfare by ensuring every animal in our care receives the compassion and support they deserve.
Supporting Our Community
Our commitment extends beyond adoption, as we actively work to reunite more than 2,000 lost animals with their families annually. By providing licensing services, veterinary care, and essential resources like spay and neuter programs, we support the health and safety of both pets and the people who love them throughout our city.

We operate three shelter locations in Toronto, providing a safe haven for stray, surrendered, or injured animals in need of protective care. Our shelters offer professional support, including vaccinations and microchips, to prepare our residents for their future homes. We work diligently with rescue groups and coalitions to ensure that every healthy, treatable, or manageable companion animal has the best chance for a bright future.
