City of Toronto Animal Services West Region
Our Mission
Toronto Animal Services is dedicated to being a leader in animal welfare by providing compassionate care to homeless, injured, or stray animals. We strive to save the lives of all healthy, treatable, or manageable animals through dedicated medical support, rehabilitation, and advocacy.
Serving Our Community
As the city's primary resource for animal care, we are here to support both pets and people in Toronto. We provide essential services, including licensing, microchipping, and vaccination, while working tirelessly to reunite lost pets with their guardians and place animals in loving, permanent homes.
Our Care Model
We operate three dedicated shelter facilities located across the city in Toronto, North York, and Scarborough. Our team provides quality care for animals in need and we actively collaborate with rescue groups and coalitions to ensure every animal receives the intervention, foster care, or medical treatment necessary to thrive.
The Joy of Adoption
Adoption is a life-long partnership, and we are committed to helping you find the perfect match for your lifestyle. By taking the time to consider your space, activity levels, and commitment, you ensure a rewarding, long-term bond with your new family member. Whether you are looking for a loyal dog to join your adventures or a quiet companion, our team is here to guide you through the process.
